Before I got the exhaust I was assured by several people that it would fit my bike, but since I have gotten it I have read that it may not...I think this may be from a 1015cc kz1000 and that my 1982 1000 has an extra frame brace in the front of the motor that may get in the way...does anybody know for sure if this frame bracing is going to impede my header install?

Hey 9,

I have the MAC header for my 81 1000 CSR, and other than being cantankerous to install (one tube wants to go not exactly where it ought to), I have no clearance issues with the frame.

but was it made for your 81, or made for an older model...I am hopefully going to swap exhausts this weekend, so I will find out the hard way

It will fit, you may have to modify the bracket to hang it. I have a jardine from a KZ900 on my 82...:)
