cam timing 180 out was created by lemo32
good morning all.i just set my cams with 1,4 atdc
i got no compression, when i turned the motor over and checked the cams exaust was pointing 180 degrees
opposite to front of head could i have timed on the wrong stroke even though 1 and 4 where at tdc?

You can't time on the wrong stroke (wrong TDC) because the cams determine the stroke (Intake, compression, power, exhaust).
More than likely you used the wrong mark on the cam sprockets.
What model do you have?
ATDC means After Top Dead Center, I think you meant at TDC (I hope so anyway)

Did you get your camshafts swapped front to back?
