Starter Clutch: '81 KZ 750 LTD (4 cyl) was created by davehayward1
I’m trying to remove the starter clutch to replace springs, rollers and caps
Got the exhaust system off. Got the clutch out. Got the oil pump out.
Got the secondary shaft nut off
Now - my “Clymer Manual†says to tap on the left end of the secondary shaft until
the right end pushes the right bearing out - done.
Now - it says to “pull the secondary shaft out of the clutch side of the engineâ€
The secondary shaft won’t pull out, as starter clutch and the starter clutch gear do not slide off of the secondary shaft
Are the gear and/or starter clutch attached to the shaft?

Maybe somebody here has a link to the factory manual. You probably need to get one to have in the shop. They really are great.
