My problem was the carb spring weakening over time. I hit the hip and spent way too much 40.00 for that stupid spring and it made all the difference in the world.
Also don't pull the petcock off, just pull the line and see if it runs out full or the diameter of the line.
Anywho check the throttle position, I'm sure that is your problem. Mine would start up hit 4 to 5k and I would have to shut it off.

Let me get this clear. It dies once you turn the choke off right? If so it won't be a sticking throttle cable. Have you checked the idle adjuster?
Idle adjuster... did that on a CB360T. Startled me so bad it slapped the needle all the way around the tach before I could find the kill. :laugh:
