1977 kz650 wont start

I would make sure that someone who new about the carbs did not take them. Why would Joe Blow break in to your garage to seal a set of carbs? Who knew about the carbs?

Thank's KR. Ya its a shitty deal for sure, thank god they werent the set of rebuilt WG carbs i had on my z1. The set that was ripped off was a sheap set i got off e-bay while ago. There is a few people that moved in by me that seem a bit shifty, im going to let the police know about it. At least a good think they will be easy to spot on a bike because i cracked one of the carb tops in half so its jb welded back together. But the jetting sound like it will work out right? Thanks jim

i re-jetted it and moved the clips to the 4th posistion and its back to running like a raped ape she is.....thanks guys.

Thats the only pic of it. Its sitting in my garage under some sheets. This winter it will be my project. The motor is a 427 with dual quads, and a 4 speed muncie trans. The body has some rust but nothing major. I got it from my cousin for a birthday and christmas gift. It was sitting since the late 70's but we got it running that weekend. It has some sweet homeade round tube headers. Ill take some pics and get them up.

I rode the 650 to work yesterday and she rode good except for an occasional pop on decel, it only happened twice. I ended up pulling the carbs and putting in 112.5 main jets, she runs strong to redline. I also yanked the baffle and cut it down some so she just growls at higher rpms now.
