Hello there got a question about exhaust hopefully someone knowledgeable may be willing to help out... i have a 81 kz750 4 cyl. atm it has a 4 to 1 header going to a kerker can. btw im turning it into kind of a bobber(i think it could be called) but what i was wondering was if i cut the header and welded on straight pipes would that mess the motor up, or sacrafice hp. i seen a guy do it to a 650 and it sounded cool as heck. any advice would be nice.. thanks

Street use must meet DOT noise level limit.Track use doesn't matter.

Do a search on this site and you'll find where another member cut the exhaust for straight pipes. He found out why Kawasaki spent millions of $$ engineering exhaust systems. His bike ran like crap. Ed
