For those of you who have switched,78 kz640 with a kawasaki 4-1 megaphone by kerker, comes with standard 1" baffle.Does the 2" competition baffle jetted and sinced have a big noise differance,or 2.5" competition,to loud. But is there a big differance between the 3.

I put a new Kerker Megaphone on my KZ900 this summer.

Rode it awhile with street baffle. Just purchased the 2.0 comp (I could not find 2.5 comp anywhere "in stock")

The 2.0 sounds awesome, nice growl at idle ( other then my idle issue kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...ew&catid=3&id=313331 )

And super nice in powerband. It's all personal taste, but I think the 2.5 would be to much to listen to all the time.

Not using a megaphone Kerker but a K series. But as I gather there is no real performance advantage street riding using a comp baffle. Unless you run WFO on the street most of the time you'll not notice a huge improvement. Now the noise on the other hand will go up. Given that the local/state laws are cracking down on loud pipes choose wisely where you ride with a comp baffle.

Go with the 2" baffle. I just swapped fron 1" to 2" and it´s way louder but not too loud. Feels like it runs better with the 2" and the sound in great.
