torque sequence and specs for valve cover on z1

hi, new here and was hoping someone could tell me if there is a torque sequence for the valve cover on a 1974 z1 900 also how tight should the bolts be. havent gotten my service manual yet so if anyone can help i'ld apprieciate it. thanks in advance

I'm at work now. If nobody else responds before I get home, I'll look it up.

If I recall there is a torque but not a sequence for the cover (at least in my manual).

A good rule of thumb is to start in the middle and when you get those four done go out and do the next ones,repeat until you get to the outside ones.

I have never had a inch pound tourque wrench but i know never use anything bigger than a 1/4 inch drive. Roy

Standard 6mm bolt. Torque to 5.5-6ft/lb. No need to strip them by over doing it.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

thanks. i dont normally use a torque wrench on soft bolts and alluminum. i just use a 1/4 drive and snug them up. you're right no need to strip them
