I have removed all covers, am at the alternator rotor. Ordered a alternator rotor holder from my original manual and was defaulted to another type of holder from Kawasaki that does not look or perform like the original. It is not strong enough to hold the rotor while trying to undo the bolt holding the rotor. The original holder from Kawasaki is not available anymore. Is there someone who could tell me what with, or how to hold the rotor while I remove the bolt. I believe this bolt has never been removed in 29 years, and probably still has the original lock tight on it. The 3 bolts on my starter clutch are lose or broken and need replacing. Thanks in advance BIGD

Get one of those serpentine grabbers, basically a rubber belt that grabs onto round items, like removing a stuck lid on a jar,if that makes any sense.
Get someone to hold that in place and hit that bolt with an impact gun.

Most 1/2" drive air impact wrenches will make short work of the bolt this size.

I used a huge flat blade screwdriver with the tip hooked into the hole in the flywheel with the end of the screwdriver resting against the metal frame pins that mount the footpeg.
BTW, I think you will have better luck loosening the nut if you put a wrench on and tap the handle with a hammer.
IMPORTANT: That nut on mine is a reverse thread. Not sure about yours, but make sure you are turning yours the correct way.

You can put the bike into 1st gear and have someone stand on the brake lever while you hit the bolt with an impact air driver. I've also wedged a screwdriver in between the gear teeth to keep from rotating. If I recall correctly the bolt is a regular right-hand thread.
