76 KZ900 A4 - Clutch Plate ? was created by Summerheat
Have read online about inch pounds of torque on clutch plate bolts.

I have replaced clutch, new springs & a Z1 roller push rod.
Ball bearing is in place and put all back together.

Bolts screw all the way in. Feel slight pressure of springs while installing, but torque all the way down?

Is this correct?

INCH pounds ,12 inch pounds = 1 foot pound. One pound pressed down at the end of a foot long rachet untill bolt stops turning. 90 INCH pounds = 7 1/2 foot pounds. Two ways to look at it. One pound pressed down on a 7 1/2 foot ratchet until bolt stops turning or , A one foot rachet pressing down 7 1/2 pounds until bolt stops turning. Thank you for attending AUTO SHOP 101 have a nice day.

Thank you both.

I guess I was thinking I was going to get X inch pounds of resistance from springs and didn't realize I was looking at a true torque down situation.
