I'm a first time poster and a somewhat green motorcycle mechanic so bear with me.
I recently picked up an '82 kz750M. It's a twin and the electric starter just spins with intermitent compression. From some of the other posts I read on here, it sounds like it might be the starter clutch?
Also, it is difficult to kickstart when the bike isn't warmed up. Seems to have compression and the kickstarter doesn't rebound as it should. Thinking maybe the kickstarter gears are worn. Any insights would be much appreciated.
I'm also wondering what years what have compatible parts with this model as there is a '78 kz750 parts bike for sale in my area.
