Please Help Me ID this Engine was created by flakz900
I just bought what I think is a 76 kz900 and it has an engine with a serial # of,Z1E 107972 and a frame # of Z1F506698.ANY help would be great.Thanks!

That is an extremely late 1976 frame and engine.
74 Z1-A stock
76 KZ-900 Totaly stock vice MAC pipe
77 KZ-1000A stock
78 Z1-R 100%MINT 500 original Mi.
78 Z1-R Yoshi 1103 kit stage 1 cams Yoshi pipe. Etc
79 KZ-1300 (1400)
80 KZ-1300
81 Scratch built GPz1150R
82 KZ1000

Yup,sounds like a 900.
Look on the front left-side(looking at front of engine) and you will see a 903 stamped near the bottom. B)

I had my friend at the dealership type the vin into the Kawasaki database and it came back not found,UH OH!

You have to interpolate the VIN info on, as Roy suggested, www.zedder.com . Your bike falls out as a 1976 KZ900A4.
