i have a 1981 kz1000 ltd with 29mm smooth boores just recently i got a miss between 4,6 grand i changed the main jets from 118 to 115 and i got rid of the midrange miss but now i have a low end miss the pilots are 27.5 i had no problems until about a week ago it ran just fine if anyone can help with this problem it would be appreciated thank you

the bike idles fine but when you take off the miss starts as soon as you put a load on the motor to take off starts around 1200 clears up about 2500 but in nuetral you can rev the motor up without a problem

27.5 is way to big for a pilot jet. Maybe 17.5, would work just fine. It should not need anything bigger.

we went thru all the pilots from stock up to 27.5 its a j head so i dont know but it seemed to want alot moore fuel when i set it up it ran like a scalded dog all summer till last week and i changed nothing jusomething electricalt started running like crap its got me confused on if its carbs or s

Check your valve clearance. I have been chasing down a miss on 1and 4 cylinder and after going through the electrical i checked the vales and 1 and 4 had no clearance. Run like crap unless it was wide open.
17.5 should be fine on pilot jet. Roy
