Maiden Voyage, have noise when hot...

Anyway I have a 700cc Wiseco kit and a dyna ignition. So my initial thoughts are my timing could be a tad too advanced and I am hearing pinging. OR my timing chain is getting slack when warm, or I messed up a valve shim and have too much play in one.
What do you all think, what could be a problem when warm? It sounds great when I first start it. I only drove it down the street and back maybe a mile and a half total.
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Its a metallic sound, I don't think it is an exhaust leak. Valves wouldn't make more noise when hot would they? I would think they would quiet down if anything.
Maybe a tight valve.

It's possible a loose one would be quieter with colder (thicker) oil.Its a metallic sound, I don't think it is an exhaust leak. Valves wouldn't make more noise when hot would they? I would think they would quiet down if anything.

Exhaust leaks at the header sound like a "crack-crack-crack" sound that gets louder as you open the throttle.

Oil is thicker when cold, and providing more "padding" on cam lobes.
Am thinking more noise upon reaching normal operating temp where oil is thinner.
With hydraulic valve lifters (not KZ), cold clicking is sometimes heard until the oil warms and thins to fill the lifter chambers.
Good Luck!

Don't get me wrong here, top quality but they do make a little more noise then the OEM idler assembly which threw me off as well on my build...
Not so much as clicking, clacking, slapping or what ever sound we're all going to debate over.... Just a little more noisier...

I guess it depends on the ear. Loose valves sound like a click to me, clacking is usually a loose chain hitting something.
Exhaust leaks at the header sound like a "crack-crack-crack" sound that gets louder as you open the throttle.
+1 Could'nt have said it better
