deglazing clutch plates was created by brianrae33
was gonna deglaze my steel clutch paltes..wondering what would be best to use??scotch brite pads or fine grit sand paper..any thoughts??thanx..

If they have residue on them you may want to soak them overnight in oven cleaner. ed

A random orbit sander with some 120 grit sandpaper followed by cleaning with soap and water usually does a good job.

yes deglaze both sides.i have a spot on my sidewalk that has deglazed more clutch plates than i can recall,hehe.i know hillbilly.a figure eight pattern on the old sidewalk and some new frictions and back on the track.hth,
