thanks but this is that good cotton string, not the cheap plastic stuff........ :)

I don't know. I can't get into the stock exhaust. Especially as you have changed so much on the bike alreasy. Your 4/1 looks much better IMOP. Afterall, why did they make 4/1 replacement's ? To rid weight and looks.I like the before look better. BTW, how was your Hill Country ride ?

I took some measurements last night.

old style header flange to end of split collar = 1.233 inches

J-model header flange to the end of welded collar = .691 inches

this means i need to reduce the split collars total length from 1.119 inches to .542 inches to keep me at a total length of 1.233 inches. this way I can use my old style newly chromed exhaust collars.

this will take care of mounting the header pipes to the head. after that is done i can make my rear megaphone support brackets.
