Need Pitch On Cylinder Head Bolt - 650-750 was created by reborn650
Hey gang- Haven't been around in a while since I had the bike parked last year and had another toy to play with for the summer.
Just got the bike running again and noticed a leak at the front of the engine where the head connect to the block. I recall putting the head back on a couple of years back and substituted an aftermarket bolt because the head on the factory bolt was looking a little rough. I am pretty sure I put a 40 mm on to get me through the summer and didn't have any major problems back then. Now it is leaking.
Kawasaki shows the bolt that sits underneath the front cam sprocket as 8X43 but it doesn't list the pitch. I am pretty sure it is 1.50 pitch. Can anyone confirm this pitch on the bolt?
The complicated part of this is that the head is a 1977 Kz 650 but the cylinders are from a 1980 Kz 750 that has been punched out for my 810 kit.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Steve - Good to hear from you. Now that I have the pitch, I should be able to pick up a match at a customer of mine that runs a hardware supply business. If I get stuck I'll give you a shout. Cheers-Colin
