Exhaust mod??? was created by Born Dead 2
So I've gotten a set of HD street glide mufflers over the weekend for the low cost of $20 cnd. They are in mint shape and still in the box. Anyhow I also have a 4 into 2 system that the mufflers have seen their better days. So I was thinking of replacing my 4 into 1 stock header and installing the 4-2 header on my kz 750 with these HD mufflers. I know I'll have to feed the bike some anti-rejection formula...Ha! But my question to anyone is besides doing a few mods to the headers to fit these, is there any reason they won't work or cause any tuning issues.
Thanks in advance
BD

Id guess the pipe size on the HD mufflers will be quite a bit larger then the KZ pipes. If you are going to use them take a hole saw the size of the welds on the back of the HD mufflers and drill them out{the welds}. Then take a broom stick orwhatever works for you and knock the baffle out for a real mellow tone. Other wise they are too retrictive but very quiet if thats what you want

Thanks for the response. The collector pipe is a bit smaller on the headers so I'll have to mod them. If I pop the baffle in the mufflers, will it still be as quiet tho'?

Go ahead and fit em up. Then start with the plug readings. There's no other way.

None of us have ever tried to interbreed a Hardly with a Kaw. You'll not find any known jetting changes we can prescribe for you.

I got a harley gas cap to fit with my Kawi. Unfortuantelly the paint and the cap didn't like each other so I am planning to put a GXR cap and fill neck in to remedy this. Always dangerous mixing bikes of different bolt sizes and thread spacings.
