hi again every body ineed to replace my mufflers[the headers and pipes are ok]ive been looking on ebay for some slip ons all i can find are new [complete systems]does anyone know if harley slip ons are compatable[cheap and readily available on e bay]thanks ..mike- [kz650-under constuction]

Do you have the stock system on there yet? If so the mufflers aren't removable (without cutting). On my 77 the stock pipes are 1 1/2" diameter right behind the crossover pipe. If you cut there you'll probably want to get an extension welded on and get some appropriate diameter slip ons (or weld on). JC Whitney has a pretty large selection of less expensive (a.k.a. cheap) universal mufflers, or keep your eye on eBay to find something you like.

after the crossover pipe ive got about 2.25 inches . do you thinkn this is enough to bolt on a new one?

You should be able to clamp something on to that. JC Whitney used to sell a bunch of different clamp on mufflers and adapters.

JCWhitney & other places sell Dunstall replica mufflers.
They're currently on sale at JCW. I don't know if they have the cone style which have the stock look.
