Its me again the saga continues I put the carbs back on the motor of a 77 kz1000 I am redoing, now I got gas pouring out of 3 carbs, Floats stuck ??? how do I fix it

if you just rebuilt the carbs the seals could be in wrong, if not they might need to be cleaned it's easy just make sure you do one at a time and be sure to put everything back the same way

With some carbs it's possible to mistakenly install the floats upside down when reassembling. :pinch:

Also, sometimes helps to rap smartly and repeatedly against side of carb floatbowl with plastic mallet or large screwdriver handle while engine is running.

Where overflow persists, perhaps float tangs are maladjusted, or floats are damaged or defective.

Or further cleaning is needed of the float needle/seat interface where float needle interacts with the seat orifice.

Or new float valves are needed (both needle and seat). Some carbs have permanent non-removeable seats, whereby only the float needle is replaced. Where both are replaceable, it's imo best to replace both the needle and seat as a matched pair, married to each other forever.

To state the obvious... be sure to have a good quality inline fuel filter after your petcock to keep stuff away from your Needle Valve seats. Don't ask. :blush:
