please help. exhaust problem was created by happyhubby
i cut off my old mufflers because they had a couple rust holes and alot of scrapes. a buddy gave me hid harley take offs that fit perfectly. but it doesn't provide any back pressure. almost like a stright pipe but not as loud.
it boggs down very easily. starting from a stop into 1st it boggs down 9 out of 10 times like its flooding.

just adjust the idle air mixture to compensate or do i have to rebuild with new jets.
on a budget here so just want to make it run ok not pristine

thanks so much for reading and any suggestions.

My guess would be new jets are mandatory. Maybe adjust needles as well.

Most likely you will need to go larger on your mains. How is the idle? Jets are relatively cheap but you should read up on jetting so you can order a couple of different sizes to experiment with. B)
