Annoying exhaust leak was created by Jack
I have tried both headers on my MKll and can't rid it of the exhaust leak.Switched out old copper o rings for 4 brand new, tried 2 orings each port, tried 1 and 2 used orings in each port ,changed out washers & nuts , switched headers and leak persists no matter what I've tried so far ?

Cleaned the port mating surface and checked out the clamshells on each pipe. Running out of ideas and thought maybe someone else might have a thought on cause or possible solutions.Thanks.

A bit of high-temp RTV always works for me.

Jack, A common err in installation is to put the "clam shells" in backwards. The bent end faces retaining collar. Just a thought,Luck G
