Oil leaking from kickstarter

I recently changed my oil pan gasket on my '80 650 because of a leak but now I have a new problem. Oil is now leaking out from my kick starter. It's getting worse and worse so something has to be done about it. Before I crack into this, is there anything I should know to make this process of figuring this out easier?

Could just be the gasket and/or oil seal. Did this on my 750 just before I traded it, nothing tricky about it, just make sure you get all the old gasket off, press in the new oil seal, spray some spray gasket on the gasket itself and button it all up.

Looking at the parts diagram I'm not sure its the same simple cover type system on your 650. If it isn't, disregard everything I said :laugh:
