Hello everyone i am starting to collect the bits to build a 1400cc big bore engine with the rest of the good gear to go with it to install into a 1975 Z1b 900 frame . I am looking for advice on which Kawasaki engine is best suited to these modifications the bike will be used on the street but i would like to drag race it. Any suggestions will be appreciated
regards Dale COE1948
Dale, will you be using it more for, street or racing?

I have friends in Ballarat that are in to old Hot Rods. The cost of anything from the States is outrageous with the combination of taxes and shipping.
Let me guess; by using a donor bike, you can pay import duties on the price of the bike alone, and not on the price of all of the parts installed and the labor? When you combine all of the shipping and all of the taxes on all of the parts, I would guess that the savings would be substantial.
Can you get away with importing the donor bike as "farm equipment" (ha, ha)?
Good Luck,
Tony
