I ask this question at the Cycle Madness forum also But I'm gonna ask it here too. :) I know this is a Dumb question but I have a cracked shifter boss on my MKII case :evil: Whats the chance of just re-placing just the lower case half and having good results :unsure: I'm just trying not to go through tearing the entire engine back apart. :woohoo:

1974 Z1 with a MKII And a 1105 big bore kit 10.5 to 1 comp. Andrews 2x cams ported head dyna s with green coils V&H sidewinder pipe airshifter 4in.over arm

Those cases are line bored. I think that might be the proper term. Any how the cases are bored as a set.

I once bought a head with no cam caps and it took me 24 cam caps to make a good match. The are bored as sets also. Roy

Yeah I agree. If I was to try it all I would accomplish is ruining 2 sets of cases. I was just hoping to get by the easy way. :(
