new tach cable? was created by IowaKZ
Hey all, I have the nagging problem of oil coming out the hole where my tach cable goes into the engie. I have replaced the seal and have inspected the parts and they all look ok.
However, the end of the tach cable is kind of buggered up. It will drip about 3 or 4 drops of oil after every ride. I can catch it and wipe the oil off the cable before it drips, but I'm thinking this is not the right solution.
Would a new tach cable solve this or do I need to buy a whole be thingy that goes into the head? Or both?
thanks,
Dale

Go to
www.babbitsonline.com
and look up your bike on their website's diagrams. Then go to
www.z1enterprises.com
and order new seals.
The tach cable should not be pumping oil through it.
