Service manual questions............. was created by chiefgto
I searched this topic and I can only hope it's in the right place, but.............While cruising Ebay for a Kawasaki service manual for my 1980 KZ1000 LTD B4, I noticed all that seems to be available are "service manual supplements". Is that all I need? They seem awful thin, 30-40 pages I'd say. Is a regular full size service manual available for these?

MTC 1075 10.5-1 pistons, 3 angle valve job with mild port and polish. V&H 4 into 1 pipe. Mikuni BS34 Carbs. Dyna 2000 ignition.

I found a full manual with all the supplements for my old 750 on a CD disk and it was only about $10. Do a web search and you will probably find one somewhere. The KZ 1000's were the police issue bikes out here for a long time, so there are literally thousands of them around and they certainly had manuals on them.

The full service manual you should get is Kawasaki part number 99924-1006-05 and for completeness (although there is little in it but it does have a difficult to read wiring diagram) the KZ1000LTD B4 supplement Kawasaki part number 99963-0034-01.

I have the manual on CD. If you still need it, let me know and I will mail one to you. However, you will still need to find the B4 Supplement as I don't have that one. I have the 79 B3 in book form, but I don't think that one will work for the 80.
