Big Block Z1 - Vbration

Hey everyone... been a while. Hope to be here more for the rest of the year... especially trying to finish my 2 superbikes.

I am not familiar with big block engines and have a question for those that might be...

I bought a big block z1 engine (MTC block). I had my engine guy review the engine, and he checked valve clearance, cam chain tension and cleaned and adjusted carbs. I runs great. Idles good with great sound of loping cams and has tremendous power.

My questions is that there seems be be considerably more vibrations coming from this engine then my other KZs. Any input, comments, suggestions would be appreciated.

I am not sure what crank is in the motor and if it was balanced. based on all the other characteristics of the build, I would think it was at least welded.

if its got a 900 crank that could be the buzzing your feeling

Does the vibration start at about 4500 rpm. If so this seems to be normal for a 900. My KZ900 does it from 4500 to 4800 or so...Russ

Seems to buzz throught the rpm band.
The best way i can explain...
- Ride a new 2001and beyond inline 4 and they are quite smooth
- Ride a regular KZ1000 and they are less smooth
- Ride the big block - and even less.. more of a buzz throughout the bike.
