What's the word on this place? Anybody ever use him or know anything about him? He has a 100% feedback rating on Ebay. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

1980 LTD1000 Engine.
MTC 1075 10.5-1 pistons, 3 angle valve job with mild port and polish. V&H 4 into 1 pipe. Mikuni BS34 Carbs. Dyna 2000 ignition.

top notch guy in my book....i bought mtc pistons and bored out jugs from him on ebay....he end gapped rings and etched cylinder number under piston skirts...all i had to do was put it together...i also sent my head to him and had him do the service he has listed....new guides, seals, everything cleaned up, stems done as needed, shimmed up with the cams i sent him....had him do the surface finish he bakes on to match the jugs....looks great..see avatar......great communication also...i would definitely use him again......keith....

In my book he's the best. I used him once and he had me hooked. Now I have used his services four times in the last 2.5 years and plan on going to him more. Whew! That's a relief! I asked this question AFTER I mailed him my cylinder block and head. I went with the Ebay feedback rating and sent them out, THEN I realized I could bounce it off you guys in here too. My excitement got the best of me I suppose. It looks like I'm going with just about the EXACT SAME set-up as you Keith, right down to a set of WiredGeorge BS34 Mikuni carbs. I'm going to break the motor in with the stock cams, then I might drop in an APE K-410 cam afterwords. MR. Hooper said it was the way to go for a street bike. I can't wait!

On the last project he did for me only a couple of weeks ago, I had hip punch my J motor to 1140 and he had a set of custom pistons made for me by MTC to match my 84 GPz head. I bought a set of K410 cams from him out of which I will use one for the exhaust. I will use a Vance & Hines .417 for the intake with 39mm intake valves. Damn! That bike is very nice Gunny! Your paint work is top notch. I took auto body at my high school and I am ate up with a spray gun in my hands, I'm talking a serious disaster! Would you gunkote your engine cases? What about heat dissipation?

I would not "Gun-Kote" engine cases or the cylinder block. I would use "Polane" Knowing what I know now, I would use Gun-Kote only on smaller parts. Gun-Kote works very well on small steel parts. Because Aluminum is soft, Gun-Kote has a habit of chipping off. I think that "Polane" is the best for Aluminum There is not much problem with Heat unless you really cake it on. Polishing an engine is actually sometimes worse, and Chroming engine parts is by far the worst.
