Oil pressure was created by STOCKS3
I was told that most Kz's run at about 3 to 5 psi oil pressure.
That said any one know where in fine a good low oil ressure gauge.

I think this was brought up a week or so ago. As soon as someone reads it who knows they will help.

the 3-5 psi oil pressure figure is for the 900/1000/1100 motors as they are the ones that use roller bearing cranks. The 250/400/440/550/650/750 motors use plain bearings and have a much higher oil pressure (30-40 psi).

You can order a nice gauge made by MC Enterprises and costing around $60 from Dennis Kirk or your local dealer. You have to wrap teflon tape around the threads, instructions are included. The factory manual for my 1973 Z1 recommends 3 pounds of pressure at 3,000 rpms at an oil temperature of 60 degrees Centigrade, which means you'll have to get an oil temperature gauge, too, and they sell one at
www.americanclassix.com
for about $50.

I bought one from BubsRacing.com The link is below. They have real nice Marshall liquid filled gauges at a good price.
