well..i'll try again..bike will not stay in 2nd gear..1st is fine..as are 3rd, 4th, and 5th..cn start out in second and seems to stay...but while going from 1st to 2nd it pops out almost instantly...can skip 2nd and go to 3rd and all is well...shift fork i hope right..

It could be worn dogs/engagement teeth. Popping out of gear is a good indicator of this.

Sorry Brian,I think we have a winner - 2nd. gear in Z1/KZ trannies are famous for this. Hope it's a shift fork though...

would worn dogs be visually obvious??..suspected dogs or shift fork...hoping for forks...as i said if i start in second it stays in...just can't go from 1st to 2nd...
