78 KZ650B -in the diagrams I cant seem to find a good picture of the clutch basket nut- does it just use a fiber lock or is there also supposed to be a tab washer that gets bent over?

There's a lock washer that goes on only one way with the marks facing out then the nut torqued to 80-108 foot pounds. The manual says to use a new nut but I never have.

Just checked one I have and it has a small amount of play. I sure it's normal.

There is cushining pads between the gear and the clutch basket that allows it to help shift more smoothly. My '77 has a little play as well. 9942 miles on it Normal
