2 or 1?

i am kind of used to the newer bikes, (what i call the plastic bikes) what i need to know is, is there any power gains from having 4 into 1 exhaust or is 4 into 2 better for the kz1000's (pre 80's)

Not sure on actual hp gains. But the weight loss on old 70's exhaust systems is worth it. I would expect more power out of a 4-1 on an older bike. Stock exhaust have more of a balanced cosmetic look. Styling over hp. Unless you have a LTD or more cruiserish type bike I would go with a 4-1. Would have to get carb gurus to tweek carb to operate as well as with stock system.
