As a general guide, around 40,000-50,000 miles you find significant cam chain and idler sprocket wear on most engines. I know some folks have pushed the z1/kz motors over 100,000 miles - but that's the exception than the rule.

...did a valve adjustment on my little drag bike in under an hour and i wasn't even going hard.
Not too shabby, but rumor has it wusses do it quicker using cam lobe instead of index finger to hold bucket down while inserting batwing. :laugh: :laugh:
