i have a 1975 z1 900.just bought some 29mm smoothbores for my bike and i was wandering what would be a good exhaust and what kind of coils to run also

i would have to say a 4 into 1 kerker or vance and hines, or jardine. And for coilds i would say the green 3.0 dyna's or the accell ones.

I had a 4 into 2 hooker on my Z1B and loved the sound and balanced look with pipes on both sides.

im not really sure but i think the kerker is a better pipe, my 74 z1a had a kerker 4 into 1 on it when i first bought it but the collector was rotted so i replaced it with a vance and hines. Although i do have a 4 into 1 vance and hines sidewinder on my z1 now that sounds freaking amazing and it feels like there is more power.....not sure though.

wait for awhile before you make your decision just keep your eyes open a listen to any big kawi's in your area and see what you like for sound.
