Hi i was wondering if any one could give me some info ?
I have a 77 kz 650 and i wanted to get some more power out of it.
I allready added jet kit and air pods and kerker header but i have a 1981 kz 750 engine in the garage that needs pistons .
I was wondering if that engine would work in my bike ?
If so i would like to go with a bore kit for that before i install it .
What ize cams do i use ?
what size pistons ?
what valves to use ?
and also what else can i do to get more h.p.
thanks for any and all help on this .

Welcome to KZR. Sure the 750 engina will work in the 650 frame. You may have to play with the motor mounts a little. I think the 750 is rubber mounted.
Gpz cams work good.
An 810 kit should do
The valves are OK, maybe a valve job.
Clean up the ports a little.

Go there and open your wallet. You'll get more power and a better hp/weight ratio with your money gone  . Ok, so its expensive, but if you want more power you'll have to pay one way or another.

Cut off what you don't need on the bike, loose 20lbs of winter insulation. That'll do wonders to the performance and its free (other than 5.40 for the cut off wheels). :)
