Valve Tappet Removal sans head was created by KAHruzer
Can the valve tappets be removed from the top without removing the head?
Looks kind of like one of those things which need to be driven out from the bottom. But, I don't know.

It's a project and came with the cam cover loose, sitting on top. So, suspect some moisture issues. Wanted to remove the tappets and clean/oil them, along with the cams, but wasn't yet ready to remove the head.
While here, I've searched the kawasaki.com website for a Service Manual for this and found they have none of the KZ750-4 LTD available (H1-H4, 1980-1983).
Anyone know a source for this Service Manual?

you take them out from the top use a magnet and spin the bucket around to break the stiction from the oil film and pull straight up with the magnet it will come out. and you can do this with the head still on the motor that is how the valves are adjusted.
