Updated Pics - Amazed it runs from Ebay

Well, I have finally rescued another KZ by getting a rolling chasis off of ebay, hasn't been run in over 18 years, only 5k on the engine. Was in the process of rebuilding another 750 and thought it would be nice to have an engine with 5k rather than 30k. So tonight was the test, wired, rebuilt carbs in place, fired right up and idled. Was amazed, will post pics tomorrow of the new engine, but how good can it get for only $50 off of ebay, ha. :P

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ame=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT

That is the link DanOz, it was a rolling chasis this guy up in MA here sells, he rips the bikes apart, leaves the engine, exhaust, tires, etc on it and ebays the chasis, but you have to pick it up. It worked out great for me, well worth a 100 mile trip to get, I took the engine, exhaust, tires, rear swingarm to my current project. Exhaust alone saved me a lot;)

Good score. I paid $100 for a little less bike in order to get my 750 motor, exhaust, swingarm and wheel.

Before I checked that link, I knew it had to be from Jeff at Finecycle... I picked up a $5 relic (1978 KZ750) from him this winter for a few parts but mostly just to destroy. I've taken a few loads to the dump and boxed up the rest. I didn't bother messing with the engine except to rip off covers and other doo-dads. This was the bike with the carbs in the Worst Carbs Award? thread. That is cool that you got yours running!
Anybody interested in the frame, forks, engine covers, etc?

That is really funny, it is the same guy. He was a nice guy, but was definately surprised it fired up and that all the cylinders were firing. I do have a lot of spare parts now, so I am in the same boat as you with the frame/forks/wheels(off other frame), etc. ha. But $5 definately made it worth it for the smallest part then!

Yeah, it is the one, well, cleaned up a little from the original, ha. But it is definately coming together though, so excited about that, just hoping to get it ready by Laconia time, ha.
