Nitrous question?? was created by watchdog
I just purchased a nitrous kit for my KZ. As I was reading the instructions I got to the part where I says to drill & tap into the intake manifold to install the jets. I realy don't want to do this. What if I wanted to it return to stock at a latter date? Does anyone know where I could get some longer carb boots? Or perhaps something as simple as using a radiator hose may work. This easy fix would make this project quicker & simpler.

drill and tap it it will really work the best and when you don't want the nitrous anymore just use pipe plugs and thread sealent to plug the holes. and when you want to get rid of the nitrous set-up call me.if you try doing it in the rubber manifolds you will have nothing but problems with it.

as plummen has asked in his unique way what have you done to the engine to prevent future damage from the use of the mighty nitrous system and how much are you planning on using it . also if you have not done anything like welding the crank, improving the ignition system, forged pistons heavy duty cylinder and main studs, heavy duty clutch basket. please don't put on the juice until these small inconveninces are takin care of because if you try to use nitrous with a stock engine that is the better part of 30 years old your liable to be able to clean up what is left of your motor with a whisk broom and a dustpan if your not careful. just some words of warning .

I’m really going more for the look than anything else. I just don’t want any nonfunctioning fake BS on my ride. Ever see a guy driving around with a fake blower glued to the hood of some old clunker? I am not related to that guy. I’m not sure but I do believe his name is Buba. I’m going with the smallest jets & probably won’t even use the system. I just don’t want some Harley (even a new V-Rod) guy thinking he can stay close.

The only real downside to nitrous is the greed factor.;) It only cost a few bucks for those larger jets. It can be almost irresistible.
