I currently have a 4-2 system on my 900 and it tucks pretty tight, but I can't get it to fit with the 3-point case guards I bought. On the left side where they have you use the u-bolt the pipe is so close to the frame that I can't get the flange on the guard or the u-bolt to fit with the exhaust. I've about decided that the only way to pull this off is to switch to a 4-1 exhaust.

It gets even more interesting though... I'm short so I have lowered my bike so I can touch the ground on it... I dropped the forks about an inch in the trees and I also put some relocation brackets on the swingarm for the shock mounts, so to keep from dragging the pipe it needs to tuck up pretty tight.

I'm not really interested in the V&H pipes due to the horror stories and pics I've seen that show them not fitting very well. This really leaves (as far as I'm aware of pipes that are still made) the Kerker and the MAC. What I'd really like to know is which system fits the best and is most likely to accomodate the modifications I've done to my bike? I may be wishing on this but I'd like to retain my centerstand and access for oil changes if at all possible, too...

Any advice you guys can lend I'd really appreciate!!

Thanks

Kerker is far and away the better pipe to me. Macs are kind of cheaply made but also cheaper to buy. The kerker will also have much better resale value. Fit wise I cant say I only had a Mac 35 years ago on an Xs650. All my Z1's & Kz1000's have Kerkers on them

I have the Mac 4-1 on my kz650, fit right up no drama has a nice throaty growl and wasnt a drain on my wallet. Kerkers are a bit higher quality I think but the Macs are plenty adequate for my needs.

If its got t*ts or tires sooner or later your gonna have problems!
