the pan off, the pump out and apart all the oil plugs opened and every cover off cleaned and wiped out as much as possible. So in other words there is not a drop of oil in the motor anywhere. I did not pull the heads or any moving motor parts other than the stator and ignition.
Before I try to get it running, should do something to get the oil primed up? I was thinking at least fill the oil and take out the spark plugs and crank it till I can get some pressure at the oil galley plugs. Would that do or is there a specific procedure that would be better?
Thanks

+1 Use the kickstarter as a hand crank and pump until your arm gets too tired to push it.I have had my bike (1000B3) in pcs since last September and have had

that will work to i was just trying to save him from a heart attack before he rode the old girl but hey if you want to kill him what the hell,  :woohoo:
I'm surrounded by wussies. back when I ran Kerker type headers, they blocked my drain plug completely and sometimes I used to do an oil change by pulling the oil pressure sending unit and screwing a fitting in with a hose clamped on it and then I pumped all four quarts out that hose using the kick starter and my right arm....
Seriously.
Of course, that was a few years back.

I had a GF who could suck start a Harley... Just attached hose to the oil pressure sending unit hole and had her vacuum suck the oil out while I drank beer....
