Confused and need help!!!!!! was created by gr8funbikes
Hello everyone. I am new here and have a silly question. I have a 82' kz 750 CSR twin. I was told that it was a 2 stroke but I read some where that it was a four stroke. Was wonderin which is it? Also if it is a two stroke is it oil injected and where does the oil go. It is my first bike and the best part is it's a KZ.

Well, Kaw made a 750 2 stroke, but it was in the 70's and was a three cylinder. You twin is a definite 4 cycle. Your only concern with oil is regular motor oil in the crankcase. Welcome to the site! We need pictures of your bike, it is mandatory!!:P

4 stroke, look at the pipes, if they dont flare out and then get skinny again, its a 4 stroke, also, look at the head, if theres valves, its a 4 stroke (with the exception of power valves on some new snomobiles, but they are part of the exhaust, and not in the head) the head will be really small if there arent valves

Thanks 79mkll. I will get as many pics as I can. I am going to be customizing it very soon. Right now it is stock and I have a bunch of goodies to put on it. I will post pics on my progress as soon as I start.

Two cylinder four stroke 748cc inline twin with dual carbs and electronic ignition. The 82 750 CSR has no centerstand and has leading axle forks (axle mounts on front of fork tubes), 16" rear spoke wheel with a 19" front spoke wheel, stepped seat with buckhorn handlebars (stock ones do anyway), and a vacume operated petcock.
And it won't shift into second gear unless the bike is moving (common question from new KZ owners).

Anything in particular you want to know, just ask :D
