1980 z1-g. checked all the shims for size (5 outta 8 were marked)and have my clearances wrote down. **here's a big shout-out to keith1 for letting me borrow his valve holding tool**

Intake
1- .09 with a 260
2- .05 with a 270
3- <.04 with a 265
4- .09 with a 260

Exhaust
1- .08 with a 265
2- .09 with a 270
3- .15 with a 270
4- .10 with a 270

i figure i could A) buy 3 255 sized shims and be able to move some around to get all my clearences in the "teens" (all .13 to .15) OR B ) just buy a 260 or 265 for Intake #2 and a 255 for Intake #3 and have a range of .08 - .15 Which would be the better way to proceed?? keith1, still hoping to get the tool sent back to ya this weekend. may be next week if i cant get shims locally and i have to order from KZE still going to try to make a copy but i'd rather use the real thing on my first attempt thanks again

duh...i'll just move the 265 from intake 3 to intake 2 should give me .10 clearence there. then just need 1 255 for intake 3 to get somewhere in the region of <.14. local dealer of course doesnt have that one in his parts bin but said come on out and we'll try to get one from his mechanic's stock. of course he will still have to charge me $11.36. oh well most clearences will then be .08-.10
