solved ordered gasket..71mm cometic 50$

i got my rings in the jugs tonight and realized..i had a gasket kit (versah)from a bulk purchase and had not anticapated buy ing a head gasket extra cuase of the 69.5 piston kit that is going onto my stock z-1 extra motor.....the h-gasket in the versah kit measures 68.5 and i can feel a lip sitting over the bore when i lay it on the top of the cylinders....too small diameter??????i know this is a dumb question ...humor me ...what size head gasket should i run with a 69.5 mm piston....where would be some places online to shop a good h-gskt...thanks guys...craig...

got the jugs on by keeping the center set proped up and useing tiny flatheads to work the rings in .....

these are the wiseco's and the kit pistons are 69.5...

it was fun trying to learn which rings would need to get pried in .....but once i got it down .....no problem....took me a little while ...30 minutes...but it was my first time...not counting when i gave up last month ....

what size head gasket goes with a 1045 kit(69.5)???

also ...please....where is the best place to order one...p.m me if you need to so as not to break a rule i guess ....kinda silly if directing a guy to a source is rule bending but oh well.......really wanna get this thing torqued and buttoned up...so i can use my bench to mount my new avon roadriders that are in the mail.......riding is bitchen here right now!!!!!!

I dont think directing a guy to a source is aganst the rules as long as the person directing is not directing you to their business. I hope not anyway because as a newbe I had no idea where to find alot of the parts I needed untill I found this site.

I saw recently that the Wiseco PDF they have on their site lists a Wiseco part number for a base gasket as well as a head gasket/etc.

Wiseco part # W5380.

look at Z1E,APE,FBgast, Cometic. lots of places will have the 1045 gasket. they likly all come from Cometic.
