\"kinetic\" cam for 550 was created by swampy
I just bought a 1982 kz550 a3 on impulse to convert into a cafe racer. I bought this mainly for the engine, which the owner told me has a big-bore kit, ported and polished head, pod filters, 4-1 exhaust, and "kinetic race cams." Has anyone ever heard of a brand of cams under the name Kinetic? I've heard of cams described this way, but not named this. The motor runs perfect, so I'm reluctand to start tearing into it just to find markings on the cams. Any speculation would be apreciated. thanks, andrew

I remember a camshaft company called General Kinetics. I ran their cams in the '70's in my 68 Barracuda. They were very well engineered. I don't recall if they made cycle cams, but they probably did. I think they are now out of business.
