Here's how I got my clutch nut off by building my own tool as recommended by haynes manual, with the added plates welded on to offer a surface to clamp to. With the clamp in place, I was able to get the nut off on my own, with a 1/2 drive socket wrench with a 2 foot pipe extension on the handle. I tried softening it up with my impact gun, but the stupid thing doesn't have the nut to do anything, so I basically did it by hand.
