I am trying to buy a set of engine rebuild gaskets from Cometic.com.
The only things I can find are for the KZ1000j and GPZ1100.
What is the difference in the motors.
I have an 82 KZ1100A. Nothing modified, just stock.
What engine model would that be? Can anyone tell me?

Just got an 82 KZ 1100, working to fix it up as my first bike.

Those would work too, but what would the bore size be? I need to know what I need to look for exactly. I am still learning about these bikes, and motorcycle engines in general. I work in the marketing department for a motorcycle retailer, but I don't want to bother the guys here, I don't want to look stupid in front of them. Would like to know a little about what I am talking about when I talk about my bike. I am researching as much as I have time for.

shannonbeau...the 1100 series motors for Kawasaki all used the same gasket set (A, B, and D series). Technically all these motors were in the 'J' family of motors although the 1000 series bikes were less cc than the 1100's. The 1000 series J bikes included the J series (standards), K and M (LTD and CSR), and the R series (ELR's).

Dude, that is exactly what I needed to know. I really appreciate it. I'll order the gaskets today.
