Maybe a slide hammer set up with a drilled plate to fit inside the baffle with an eye bolt for the slide hammer to pull on.

Russ, Looks like a 2" Competion Baffle to me. I would buy it from you if you want to sale it. If it comes out ok. PM me if you want to sale it and good luck.

Just got a 2" baffle for my Kerker from Z1. It looks a lot smaller than this one. I´d say it´s 2,5" but just measure it and let us know.

Well I just went through this baffle swap in my project where it was brand new, and still required a little finesse to get her out....

I'm sure there's numerous other ways but here's how I did mine.....

With the exhaust Megaphone (muffler pipe) disconnected from the header, first remove the bolt on the inside frame side of the Megaphone, towards the rear.

Then from the clamp end of the Megaphone, with a wood dowel or similar (1" square stock), tap out towards the rear...

NOTE: Even on a brand new exhaust, the stock baffle (with fiber wrapping) was in there fairly tight.

Same time, you'll find your baffle is most probably not wrapped as my 1.5" comp baffle was... basically a straight pipe welded to another pipe with holes in it, no wrapping....

NOTE 2: One thing I came across getting the new baffle in... The friggin Kerker emblem plate attachment pins...

They use those non screw type pivot pins.... Had to drill one of them out (inner most pin) to all the baffle to be inserted fully inside the Megaphone and use a screw once the baffle was in place...

May be where one of the hang ups is in your set up.... ;)

That's Plan B.

Could also continuously soak for a day or three with PB-Blaster around the baffle exit area.

Important to be careful so as not to damage exterior appearance of can.

Could also try using dry ice on baffle (to shrink it) and simultaneously use heat gun on can (to expand it), all immediately before attempting to extract the baffle.

Good Luck! :)

There is a non straight through baffle that I found on eBay that replaced the competition glass pack last year. I have a Super Trapp clone of the classic Kerker. They bought out Kerker years ago and my baffle also has the Super Trapp end.
If you just want a Super Trapp end, this is what I did to another Kerker that I had on a Honda 750 many years ago.
I bought the discs and made an aluminum end plate. Use a disc as a pattern to make the end plate and to locate the holes at the flange around the baffle hole in your Kerker photo. Then, using the threaded inserts that you can get in a good hardware store, or the ones that use the blind rivet principle, apply them to the holes. Make sure they are the steel type and not aluminum. I don't remember if they were 1/4 inch American thread or 6 or 7 MM. Then, get long allen head stainless steel screws and make sure that you use anti-seize and now you have some adjustment to the sound, if you don't mind a little phft phft noise that is characteristic of the Super Trapp discs.

It used to be, if you emailed the Kerker people at Supertrapp and were properly explanatory and nice about it...they would send you, for free, emblems. I received two that way several years ago.

I was looking for a baffle for my RC performance 4/1 and with no luck, and tired of the drooning at highway speeds, I built my own baffle. It cost about $11, made with auto part store exhaust parts and I drilled holes in it like a drag pipe, put in some fiberglass insulation and its SOOOOOOOO much better to ride. I will post a write up this weekend with pics.

1976 KA900. VM28 pumper carbs, K&N pod fiters, RC performace 4/1 exhaust, Dyna ignition, Accel coils and wires, Ohlins rear shocks.....more to come

well it turns out that the sales and customer service at another American company is still a cut above the average

It took very little convincing with the man i spoke with "Bruce" @ supertrapp, i did mention
that i support them with a supertrapp on my 900 and a kerker on two other bikes...

where do you want me to mail the brand new emblem was all he asked.......free

Thumbs up to supertrapp exhuasts for being the real deal... and another reason to buy from Supertrapp/owner of Kerker now also......10outta10

So true to their word i got a new emblem sent to me and one each very nice Kerker and Supertrap decals....

I sent a great big thank you letter and a note with a pic of my vintage Supertrap all shiny on the 900......

and today i got a cool note asking if i would mind if they used the pic in their gallery....awesome

next the MKII in blue with the vintage Kerker sporting the new emblem........

Cool Company...rare these days.....

they even stuck the picture in "sportbikes" instead of the universal section....nice touch....
