84 gpz engine in a kz650 frame? was created by pburnhamb
The GPZ head doesnt have the fittings for my kz650 cam chain rollers does it? also, does anyone know if the whole gpz 750 motor (1984) will fit into a kz 650 frame w/ little to no modification?
Just asking because i went to the bone yard looking for a kz750 head for my 810 project and the only thing i found was a GPZ 750.
thank U

The GPz750 can be made to fit.
I think because they are rubber mounted, some of the mounting is differnt, but still lines up.
I just saw a picture of a 750 turbo motor in a 650 frame just the other day.

ok, thanks. am I right that the head wont fit?
Also. any idea what carbs came on these bikes (84 750GPZ), and if they would be good for my 810 project?

The head would be similar to the '80 kz750s with the High Vo cam chains I'd bet.
The '84 GPz750 used BS34 carbs.
Others would know how well they'd work in your situation.

Should be, I am pretty sure people run them on 1000's with good results.
