kz650(sr)d1 busted piston-need replacement :dry:

I busted 1 of my pistons.:huh: Do I need to buy a complete set of pistons or will just one do? & if that is the case, 1 or 4 pistons?:blink: where do I get, find, buy, or steal one / or four of these so hard to find pistons. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks & regards fellow kz-er's

have you checked the cyl to make sure they are still in the service range? also, if they are std, your gonna play hell finding rings for them, I got a set on fleabay but they were expensive

Nah that's not a problem I have 3 sets still in the package laying around here.

Thanks Mark, Jay,& Kawiman. Not quit sure what I'm gonna do just yet. I got your PM kawi before I read this post. What is a 700 kit & price? What all does it entail & do rings come with the kit? When I miked the bores they are on the upper end of the service limit, like at the very last notch. I would like to hear some options as to what you guys think & suggestions on different options. Bore w/700kit, pistons with over sized rings,etc. cost & other variables.:ohmy: Wife is gettin-well you guys know what I'm gettin at.:huh: Thanks for your suggestions & opinions! TODDSTER P.S. I was cleaning with a wire brush on my power drill & the rag that was wrapped around the piston that was secured in the vice got tangled up in the rag & well as HOMMER would say DOHH, anyway thats what happened,just FYI be careful when using power tolls.:blink::ohmy: :ohmy: :blush:
